What is LAMO®

LAMO® is a three part ecosystem made by gamers, for gamers, with gamers. The ecosystem includes 5" Stylized Vinyl Figures, the LAMO®: AR VINYL app and the free-to-play LAMO® game.

What is a LAMO® AR VINYL Figure?

A covetable collectible vinyl figure. Inside every box is also a single use QR code that unlocks a BattleBundle for the game (if you purchased it separately in the game it would cost roughly the price of the vinyl, so is a great deal). Very limited quantities will be available online at playlamo.com, and also at Target and Gamestop locations nationwide, beginning July 27th, 2019.

What is the LAMO®: AR Vinyl App?

The LAMO®: AR VINYL APP is a cool way for fans to track their collection, see what's new and experience exclusive AR content. The app is available on Apple and Android app stores beginning July27, 2019 and is free to download.

What is LAMO®: The Game?

A fast paced, free-to-play, online multiplayer party game with optional cosmetic upgrades available in the in-game store. Hyper intense snack sized rounds can be enjoyed back-to-back all day long, or played as quick pickup game between rounds of your other favorite online titles. Initially launching on PC as an invite-only Alpha, but will soon be available to the wider gaming community on PC (September 2019),mobile (IOS & Android - Late 2019) and major consoles (Early 2020).

Can I make a purchase without setting up an account?

Yes, just select "guest" when checking out.

What forms of payment do you accept?

The LAMO® Store accepts all major credit cards as well as PayPal.

How do I get my LAMO®: AR VINYL Figure shipped sooner?

During checkout, simply select the shipping method you prefer.

How can I check on the status of my order?

You can check on the status of your order by going to your order summary. We will provide a shipment tracking number once your package has been sent.

Do you accept returns?

All sales are final. We accept returns of damaged or incorrect merchandise only. Please send pictures and a description of any damage to support@playlamo.com

How often will there be new LAMO®: AR VINYL Figures available for sale?

Check back frequently, join our mailing list to get updates on the latest availability or visit our retail partners. We plan to release new figures every couple of months.

What if an item is sold out?

LAMO®: AR VINYL Figures will be available in limited release quantities and may not be available online or in retail stores once supplies are depleted.

How do I create an account?

You can sign up using your Facebook or Twitch accounts or by providing an email address after you download and open the app.

Do I need an internet connection to use the app?

Yes, in order to unlock digital content via the one-time QR code or to experience certain AR animations you will need online access. A slow or intermittent connection can also affect the performance and presentation of the AR animations.

How do I scan the QR code?

  1. Select your LAMO
  2. Select the character silhouette
  3. Pull the tab back from the QR Card
  4. Scan the code
  5. Tap through the reward parade
  6. Return to the app screen select the link to the LAMO®: The Game

How do I access the augmented reality (AR) experiences?

  1. Select your LAMO
  2. Select the box or character silhouette
  3. Hold your device in front of the box or LAMO®: AR VINYL Figure
  4. The AR animations should begin automatically
  5. If the animations are not playing, make sure you are in a well lit area.

Can I purchase the LAMO®: AR VINYL Figures or digital skins for LAMO®: The Game within the LAMO®: AR VINYL APP?

No, you cannot purchase figures directly through the app but there is a link to the LAMO Store [insert link] within the LAMO®: AR VINYL APP.

When scanning the box or figure for the AR experiences but nothing is happening, what can I do?

The app should automatically recognize the selected LAMO®: AR VINYL Figure or box. The primary cause of the AR experience not executing is due to low light. Try moving the figure or box into a more well lit space and attempt the scan again. The angle at which the phone is positioned to the figure or box can affect the scan as well. Try moving your device slightly back and forth in front of the figure or box to initiate the AR experience. Also note that currently, only the front of the LAMO®: AR VINYL Box initiates an AR experience.

Can I scan the QR code more than once?

The QR codes are one-time use. The QR code cannot be re-scanned once you have unlocked the digital content associated with the code.
